This makes me wonder, is there finally some way or software able to uncensor mosaics in videos - hentai / jav ? I know there is a loss of information, but with the movement maybe a good algorithm could reduce the mosaic.
No.38179
>>38178
Impossible.
Uncensoring a mosaic like this is the same concept as enhancing a lowres image (Like in those CSI programs), except on a much more extreme scale depending on the severity of the mosaic. Imagine trying to magnify an image to view a previously-unviewable reflection in someone's eye. Only on TV, right?
The problem mostly stems from the fact that this is an artificial intelligence issue - An algorithm to reverse a mosaic needs to be able to tell what the entire image is, as even we can only conclude what is behind a mosaic censor from context. It needs to know what is censored, what angle it's being viewed from, its scale and any kind of other 'muddiness' (like fluids or any insertions, in this case), etc. Movement over time might help in terms of assisting the computer with figuring out what goes where, but it won't aid it in figuring out why, nor will it help figure out what "what" is in the first place.
Due to the applications of this level of AI, even if it WAS possible, I doubt it'd be publicly employed in non-forensic photoshop programs for a good few years. Heck, our current supercomputers might not be able to handle the computations required.

No.38180

Has nothing to do with calculations, it's a body part, not an object with a standard design. Same would apply to a censored face, every face is different and unique, not uniform in features.
No.38182
>>38180
A computer solves all problems through computation (almost-but-not-quite calculation). That's why we refer to processing speed in terms of computations per second. Since we're discussing software, it has everything to do with computation. An AI thinks only in terms of computations, so we would have to define whatever we're looking at in terms of computations.
I do agree that it's a body part and nonstandard, which is what I was trying to get at above.
Reiterating for clarity, we draw a lot of conclusions from context; even with a mosaic we can generally tell what the censor hides unless we see only the mosaic.
AIs can't do that specifically because it's nonstandard. Like I said, enhancing an eye to view a reflection is impossible because whatever the reflection is is going to be unpredictable, right? Similarly, decensoring something… You'd need to know the angle it's being viewed at, the scale (That includes ALL scales, from the length and width to sub-parts that may or may not be there, etc) and other muddiness like fluids or disfiguration. Even if it's something that looks fairly simple and not very heavily censored might as well be a stream of random pixels for all a computer cares. A computer doesn't even know what a human looks like, let alone one or more humans in arbitrary poses with a background and possible foreground obstructions, among the countless other things.
tl;dr agree, point was mostly that computers are dumb and don't know what anything looks like

All the computation in the world can not clear an image of something the computer doesn't know what it looks like. That'll never change. They are just a box of electronics, of course they don't know what any thing looks like, that why they can never reconstruct something they don't know.
No.38202

I disagree.
Just because we are not capable of something now does not mean that we won't be capable of it in the future.
Look at how far we've come with facial recognition software. Many modern cameras can even tell when someone is smiling or has their eyes closed.
A computer is, as you said, just a box of electronics. And in time, these electronics will only become more and more advanced until eventually it is capable of doing things that currently we only dream possible, just as the first computer scientists never dreamed software as advanced as, say, Autodesk 3DS Max or Medical software for example, would exist.
In the worst case, it might take until we are able to completely sequence neural patterns/connections and hormonal influences in the human brain, but we will eventually be able to replicate human knowledge of context to AI and as soon as we do, we will be able to have computers do accurate decensoring, translation and countless other tasks we couldn't do before.

That still does not fix that there is no one way for anatomy to look, that means it can never decensored and at best do a auto photoshop and just put in place an image of a vagina but it would not be the persons. It still has nothing to do with computer power, but that it will not be able to recreate something unique and individual. Just like those gimmick programs that show how a baby of two people would look, they can never be right.

But compare how we couldn't even think of making those gimmick programs 50 years ago. Imagine how far we're going to go 50 years from now. Computers will even be able to generate their own original artwork.
Sure, it still might not be perfect then. Heck, it might even take two or three centuries for us to make even the smallest breakthroughs, but we'll get there eventually.
It's only a matter of time.

but it;s not art work, thay are crude and completely inaccurate photoshops. Most of the photos they generate barely look human. No.38306

Computers don't have to be sentient to be smart enough to think. Can not a dog think? A mouse? An ant? Then, why not a computer? Personally, I would also argue that computers will one day gain sentience if humans choose to let them, but that's unrelated.
The problem of computationally decensoring an image falls under the category of AI in computer science for multiple reasons, the primary one being that there is no currently known algorithm to perfectly decensor an image every single time, and AI is the field that specializes in finding previously unknown solutions without iterating through every possible scenario.
And yes, it would indeed be using its 'imagination' to photoshop away the pixels, just like a human would do. That is the point of a machine or computer-performed task: Replace the human. The level of accuracy we can achieve is the issue. As we've established, it is not possible in today's world, but it will not be impossible forever.

Drama was utter shit. I gave it a quick chance at some point only to find them salting all my old wounds.
Yeah, introduce a character who bears uncanny resemblance to Triona down to the relationships, then put her in a fucking coma. Good fucking job, assholes.
I don't know the storyline since the new divine skills were introduced so I don't know if anything happened there, and to be honest, I don't care. Drama was the straw that broke the camel's back for me and I'm never going back to a Mabinogi-related game again. Good riddance.
There's so many plotholes in the story I could even describe how Ruairi is actually a literal doppelganger in drama.
Actually, while we're on the topic of Triona, you don't happen to know if it's possible to get this doujin anywhere, do you? afaik the author only sells it at mabifest. I've been looking everywhere but to no avail. (pic2 related)

The Ruairi part of the Drama's Story is quite good in my opinion, he is not a doppelganger, but he goes as far as turning into a Evil Demigod to try to bring Triona back to life with the Soulstream. Give it a chance and read it. About Milia, she is really a great piece of shit, but dont pay atention on her, the good part of Drama story is Ruairi's role on it.
The plot roles is Devcat's fault, they changed the director of the game's story about 4 times, the original G1~3 director only came back on the Drama part, where he needed to fix all the shit the other ones did.

I meant that the plotholes all sort of link together to allow one to kinda prove that Ruairi in Drama is actually a doppelganger in disguise. But that's a crack theory someone else came up with and I won't get into it unless you ask.
Drama is shit, that's all there is to it. Ruairi is well aware of the Milletian's link to the gods - He knows that Milletians aren't native to Erinn, he witnessed your Paladin form, and I'm fairly sure he saw you charge into battle in G3 backed up by Morrighan before Cichol rips his shit up. On top of that, since apparently everyone knows who you are since you become the Shadow Hero, surely he would have heard rumors of your demigod powers too?
If he's doing everything he does in Triona's name, why would he not consider trusting the person (read: the Milletian) who fought to save Triona's life from Cichol last time he met them? Why instead did they feel the need to have him fuck everything up by following Tarlach's totally unrelated scheme for the chance of a golden apple? Because Ruairi and the Milletian were enemies? I restate above - If he cares about Triona enough to not only almost destroy the world, but lose his own humanity and then life, why would he not consider asking the Milletian, who previously saved Triona's life, to do something?
I mean, we could have done it. We gathered one of each artifact of Falias in order to become a Demigod, we could have just popped into Falias, slaughtered a few dogbirds, grabbed another apple and bam, Triona's back.
But no, of course they wouldn't do that, because it's clear that DevCat hates lolis.
I couldn't find the webshop, and there's no link on the pixiv. Literally zip.

Ruairi still blame you for killing his brother(even if it was Esras fault) and cant ask you for help, also he dont trust you because you were of Morrighan side and was Morrighan who killed Triona in G16. Then it was not the Milletian who saved Triona, but Ruairi itself destroyed the Lia Fail after learning the truth that Chicol was lying and Triona would die after the ritual, even being a human he hurt Chicol and used he last strenght to destroy the Lia Fail and then angry Chicol summon Cromn and the Milletian is left to deal with it. Also there is no other Golden Apple since the tree died after you got the last one and there is no other tree. The last part is that Ruairi lost it after discovering Triona is dead after coming back to Uladh and he agrees with Tarlach because he asures that he can bring Triona back summoning another Golden Apple tree with the enrgy of the Soul Stream, but after the Milletian destroying his plans again he rages and use his power to turn into a Evil Demigod in Saga 2. Saga 2 is a great bullshit, but I still find Ruairi a great character, sad it ended in this way because of the damn Devcat.

Hooray, sleep and work interrupting my internet arguments
But Morgant is the guy who shows him that vision, and he knows that Morgant is the one who killed Mari. Literally his first impression of Morgant is the guy cursing them all and then slaughtering his first loli. Why would he trust Morgant's magical slideshow of you killing Rian? What's to say that Morgant didn't kill Rian himself and then frame you?
He likely believes that Triona died in the G3 final, since that's where he was last conscious in her presence, and during a crisis that may have taken her life - In which case, Cichol would be the one he would blame. The exact same God that you fought against.
Morrighan may not have/probably didn't kill Triona - the cause of her death was never stated. The only proof we're given is a headstone. Additionally, Ruairi certainly wouldn't have known the events of g16 given that he wasn't present for them.
Falias still holds many of its artifacts, else we wouldn't be able to go there and get them at will. There may not be trees up there, but there are fossilized apples that can be recovered with alchemy. You can do that any time you want. Again, why can't we just go grab one and bring her back?
Also, the Milletian doesn't destroy his plans in Saga - Macha does that when she appears from the Lia Fail. His target in Saga 2 is the gods, not the milletian.
Call me salty if you want, but it's been almost 4 years since her death now and I'm still bitter. Triona was my favourite character since G2 was released, and then they just killed her off 4 years later like she was nothing. Even now, I still consider her my favourite loli of all time, and her death was the first and final straw with my tolerance for any kind of game or literature that kills lolis or loli-esque characters.
Though, the entire argument is wasted air since that one interview episode in the Saga proves that all the characters are actually actors and none of the canon ever really happened.

Morgant never killed Mari, he held back and she survived, alongsided with Tarlach and he belived that you killed Rian because he saw you destroying the golem and Rian coming out of it dead and because Esras necromancy the body of Rian was conserved like someone who just died. Also he couldnt believe that Triona died on G3 because Tarlach told all the story to him and there are hints on it and on G16 that Morrighan was the one that killed Triona in order to control Lugh for her plot to kill Shakespeare, but no proof of it.
The artifacts from Falias are Fossils, then they dont have the power of the originals, the old lady from Tailltean tells you that, you can use it to boost your demigod form, but cant use it like the original one, for exemple to get demigod powers.
In Saga 1 you destroy their plans, because you stop Macha from destroying everything and that was their plan.
Also, I know how you fell, I really hate the fact they killed Triona and Ruairi and that made me stop playing mabi for a while, but Istill play it sometimes because I like the game itself, but I dont like the story animore, but I find the Drama untill Ruairi death interesting.

Morgant DOES kill Mari - She dies and Morrighan snags her soul and goes "You Nao now".
I am well aware of what it looked like to Ruairi, but he is shown it through a vision by Morgant. Again, the same Morgant that Ruairi witnessed attacking and killing Mari, a memory that would still be fresh in his mind when he wakes up in the dungeon and is approached by that very same Morgant.
Well fine, assuming Tarlach did fill him in on the G3 final, he still wouldn't know what happened to her after that. Tarlach had no contact with Triona for that time, since he was stuck in Sidhe with his wounds.
Again, no proof. I won't say that Morrighan wouldn't have done it, but it could have been that she died some other way. Or not at all & the grave is empty
Well fair enough, but alchemy alone has been proven to be able to bring back the dead and almost kill Gods, given a cost. If it can do that, I'm fairly sure there'd be some sort of alchemy ritual to recover the fossil more completely for storyline purposes.
No, Tarlach's goal in Saga 1 was to cut off Erinn from Falias, removing all traces of Magic and the Gods from Erinn. Macha shows up and fucks that over. The Black Dragon explicitly states that about halfway in.
Triona's death alone killed all fun in that game for me. I gave it that once chance for Saga, and now I'm done unless they decide to bring her back, which won't happen. I didn't sign on for them killing my favourite character of four fucking years.

Its not said what happened to Mari after that event, BUT Dulcan says that Mari turned into a God using Lia Fail, so if that is true she had to be alive and pass the same ritual than Triona and Milia: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Mari
In G3 he is reluctant to trust Morgant at first, but he start trusting after knowing that he cant go back to the human world and because of Triona, about Mari and Tarlach he dont know what happened to them, only that Morgant say that they are alive.
Tarlach states in Saga that he know about of the events of after G3 because he keep in touch with Nao and Dulcan that visit him once in a while.
About the Alchemy, I doubt about it, I think its impossible to revive a item or the cost would be too high that it would be the same to reive someone and would require a high rank alchemist like Cai or Leymore, but I doubt that even the gods know about this.
Yes, they wanted to create a world separate from Falias and for that they would need to destroy everything and start over, Tarlach talk about this with Ruairi in episode 6.

From section "Past":
"Upon discovering the truth about the revival of Glas Ghaibhleann, Mores appears before the three and commands the Dark Lord to seize them alive. After Mari's name is shouted, Mores orders his troops to stop. However, fearing the three warriors will ruin his grand scheme, Cichol disguised as the goddess Morrighan orders him to slay them all instead. Tarlach and Ruairi try their best to protect Mari, but they are all knocked out unconscious at the end. However, it was never revealed what had happened Mari; it is most likely that she died in the encounter."
Duncan does mention the Lia Fail - Perhaps Morrighan shoved her through it after she died. Either way, Morgant killed her in the Albey RP dungeon cutscene.
It's fucking stupid that he just sits there and accepts it. Any good warrior would have just taken the girl and left the moment her own father mentions the words "daughter" and "sacrifice" in the same sentence. Like c'mon, hero 101 here.
Really? Because Tarlach's shtick in Saga was that his wounds left him totally alone. See the Saga page on mabiwiki - right at the top it states that.
Alchemy is based around a sort of bastardization of equivalent exchange. When Cai resurrects Leymore, we see it take his life, only to reveal that later he is merely possessed by the Caliburn and in the end doesn't die at all. Now, the Caliburn is an artifact that is powerful enough to wipe out all milletians, gods, tuathas and fomors in Erinn by itself - That's the plot of G11: to stop that. If the Caliburn is powerful enough to do that, and Dorren is able to partially restore an artifact, the two of them together are probably powerful enough to completely restore at least one artifact with little effort. And the player is holding the Caliburn in the form of Brionac.
When Macha appears in the saga, Tarlach shouts something along the lines of "Why do you gods always interfere with everything?", which shows that Macha's appearance was clearly not part of the plan. This is further illustrated by Ruairi attacking her to break the shield around the Lia Fail.

Well, you cant do the ritual if the soul leaves the body and Mari that asked Morrighan for power as Nao tell you, so I think she could be alive after it. The pages on the wiki are made by fans, so it i the opinion of the person who wrote it. About Ruairi in G3 he and Morgant belived that Triona would still be alive after it, but turned into Macha and not dying to bring Macha to this world and that why he rebel against Cichol and atack him, if it was not by Tarlach he would do something he would regret for the rest of his life and that is killing Triona, his waifu to be.
Tarlach is all alone because he cant leave Sidhe Sneachta, but he still can receive visit from people like Dulcan who bring him mana herbs and stuff and Nao that sometime visit him to bring news about the Miletian, but still he is not free to visit any civilization.
Alchemy is a study to manipulate stuff, even two great alchemist would need tomething with the same "worth" to bring another stuff back, so to bring a great releic back to its original state I think they would need somethingof the same value and a Golden Apple that can grant any wish is quite of Great value., you would need a great tresure to restore it.
Its because of the Ritual was stoped adint finish and yet Macha forced her way to Milia's body, without the Ritual Tarlach would not be able to control her powers, thats why he shout it, she would kill everyone there.
No.40018
Says who? Morrighan herself reveals that Nao used to be Mari, at the end of G1.
Yeah, he did, but Ruairi asks Triona if she's sure she's ok with the ritual since "it will hurt a lot", to which Triona gives a noncommittal "I guess". She is established as a very important character to him long before the g3 final. If devCat had actually given Ruairi even a single brain cell, he would have left with her then.
Well yeah, but I asked you if he actually did or not. I doubt Nao would have visited him since their relationship then would have considerably changed his outlook - Tarlach's plan in Saga is to wipe out Falias and the Soul Stream. If he did that, Nao would die too.
I just looked at the wiki page for Golden Apple and, according to its in-game description, an S-rank golden apple is a 100% perfectly-restored apple. Dorren can do that on her own, so getting a golden apple is no issue at all.
Well yeah, Macha interrupted the ritual. That was my point. Summoning Macha wasn't Tarlach's goal - corrupting the Milletians and using their power to destroy Falias and the Soul Stream was.

At the End og G1, while holding More body she tells you that she wished for power to Morrighan and became Nao as result.
None of them knew that Triona would die, they only knew that she would become Macha as result and she says that it would hurt but she dont mind because she would become a woman worth of Ruairi.(crap, remembering this makes me sad, she as so cute), so for him he would still be with her even after the ritual and even if he left there as no other place for them to go, as everyone in the human world was hunting him as the impostor.
Tarlach tell Ruairi about it in one of the flashback from Saga and thats because of Nao em Dulcan that he can still keep in touch with the rest of the world, when he decided to start with his plan, he was thinking in trowing everything away, his life, his love for Kristell and even his friendship with Nao, that why she stopped talking to him after that as she states in chapter 9 when Tarlach tries to send Ruairi to Soul Stream to talk to her, but she apears in front of them to say that she is against his plan. Both Ruairi and Tarlach lost it in Saga and are not the same anymore.
The golden Apple from the artifact restoration is a fossilized artifact, its 100% restored but still is a fossil, thats why the item keep the apearence of a block and not froma Apple.
It was not Macha that interrupted the ritual, it was Akule, but yet Macha forced her way. Hes goal was to summon Macha but in a state that he can control, like a deal with a devil, he would summon her to destroy Erin but with condition to grant his wish.

Mari was already Nao when Mores was killed. Your attached image even shows that.
That still doesn't justify why Ruairi takes Morgant's side prior to about halfway through G2 - Morgant has absolutely no leverage on Ruairi until he is accused of being a doppelganger, which doesn't happen until after the player wastes a few weeks murdering kobolds for gold. During that time period, Ruairi is free to return to the human world because there is no reason for him not to, other than plotholes.
Well fair enough.
The golden apple in the G12 collection mission is also a block with an apple carved into it. The two items are exactly the same.
See here: http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/The_Ark_of_Falias#Golden_Apple
Tarlach never intended to summon Macha. From the document on the Lia Fail:
"Tarlach concludes that the Gods and the Soul Stream a the main cause of Erinn's problems. He plots to betray the Milletian race by polluting the Soul Stream which in turn will also pollute Milletians and then use that dark energy formed by the pollution to send it to Lia Fail, which is connected to the divine realm, and wipe both out in one blow."

Yes, she was already Nao, but she tells you a bit of her past, how she turned into Nao and how she whised for power to protect those who she loved.
Ruairi only trully made his mind to turn to Morgant side at the end of G2 when he see Rian dead, during that time of the doppelganger he was trying to leave the dungeon and return to the human world: https://youtu.be/Capzc1-8TLI?t=1m41s
Hmm So its a basic skin, but I still think its diferent, in the story you have to colect a fresh one to awaken your powers.

Her wish is irrelevant, though. Ruairi still saw Morgant hit Mari with a fucking claymore, and that memory would still be fresh in his mind.
So why didn't he? It's easy enough to: As illustrated by the Giant Golden Spider newbie mission, Tuathas and Milletians can simply touch one of the many Goddess Statues to leave, and as illustrated by the Tarlach/Kristell backstory, the goddess statues aren't exactly rare. It's only Fomorians that Morrighan trapped in there.
Actually, it's in G12 so you already have your powers. I think the Ark of Falias wound up being used for screwing Nuadha over whenever he uses his arm attack. Nonetheless, it has the same sprite, both are said to be treasures, and the restored ones are stated to be 100% restored at S-rank. Why are they not the same?
He needed Millia for her divine energy. The Lia Fail needs a source of divine power to function. What they didn't factor in is that the Lia Fail is like a monkey's paw or a genie - It'll grant your wish, but in the worst way possible.

Her wish is quite relevant, Morrighan say is that she turned her into a Goddess because of her wish and her divine powers, and thats why she could endure the transformation process. there are some stuff to take into consideration, Ruairi was in coma state for 2 years and just awoke, so he was very debilitated and could walk well so took sometime to he recover enough to try to leave and when he was trying to leave Math dungeon the paladins entered the dngeon and atacked Triona, so he had to fight the paladins in training and because he was weak, Triona was taken as a hostage and he had to give up, since he dint wanted Triona hurt, that when Esras made the undead Rian apear and tell the paladin to execute Ruairi, thats when he saw he dint had anywhere to go, so Morgant apeared and rescued both: https://youtu.be/VQIZOWVSDlU?t=1m29s
Actually you use the artifacts to enpower your demigod in g12 to be strong enough to fight Nuadha, but for that you need the originals, in Falias you get fossils, even 100% they are not like they used to be, the old lady from Tailltean tells you that, it would be nice to get a golden apple and bring back people like Mores or Triona back and kill all the gods, like some Dragon balls.
Hmm I remember something about that, he really need the divine power.
