I placed my order. Got the price. I did the math in my head. She ran out of change and tried to casually short me a penny.

I told her I'm missing a penny. She talked to her coworker and giggled. Probably said I'm cheap or something for making it known I want it.

Got my change and I said, "math matters" before driving off.

Am I cheap or is it principle?

It was a penny, but it was your penny.

At the very least, the little bitch should've said "Sir I'm out of pennies, would you like me to go get one?"

At that point you either say yes or no. I'd probably say no because it's a penny and I'm not a jew.

Yeah it matters; let her try telling that to a bank or a credit card company or a utility company or her college loan company and see the response. They will get every last penny; and so should you. Don't feel a twinge of guilt, man.
