Trump got 46.1% of the vote, right after inaugural he had 46% approval. Today he has 40% approval. So he has lost 15% of his voters so far.

@SPENCE_JOHN that just isn't true. He got 52.8% of vote. His approval end of year one was 49%. That is a decline of around 8% -

@SPENCE_JOHN lord have mercy. Trump started with lowest approval of any president ever and has fallen from that low. -

@matthewjdowd Careful with that math. His approval rating among registered voters is what matters for that comparison, not overall approval. -

@dave_balser@matthewjdowd not quite right. 4/(46-4)=15% lost voters (to current voters). I prefer 4/64=13% voters lost (to previous voters) -
@shanemmathews@matthewjdowd And I think you mean 6/40 = 15%. I agree 6/46 is better measure. Either way still can't believe 40% approve -
