Contract Renewals Over 30 (self.reddevils)

I'm having a dispute with another poster and need your input.

Does United have or does United not have a policy on contract renewals for players over 30?

And if so, around what time do you think that policy started?

Been in place since at least since the Fergie era. There was a whole thing at one point about Giggs wanting a two year deal over 30 years of age and thought he deserved one due to his service to the club, and the club tried not to budge. Can't remember the result, but yeah, the one-year deal over 30 has been in place for a bit
