Have you ever noticed that people who actually accomplish great things never seem to claim pride in their race? They don't have to, they have their work to be proud of. Isn't it possible that those who find this racial pride find it only to compensate for a lack of their own accomplishments, as a way of claiming some bit of credit from the work of people they have nothing in common with but skin color? What other possible reason is there to have racial pride?

my hunch is "Northern European." Some mix of Irish, Scottish, English; Norwegian, Danish, Dutch, German, Swedish, Finnish. Possibly some Russian mixed in, maybe Polish.

The minute the melanin starts to kick in around France or Hungary, he's nope, not me.

And I concur with most posters, it does seem like the moment anyone has any actual achievement in their lives, they no longer need to start rallying around these kinds of primitive tribalism.

So true. I'm Cuban, parents are white, grandparents are white, great-grandparents are from the Canary Islands and Aragon.

I was not considered white by anyone in my SOs family until it was explained to them that no, it's not just WASPs that identify as white. xD

My heritage is half Norwegian, and the other half British/German. I've actually traced my family's history back to before they left for America and know what towns they lived in and hope to visit them someday. I'm very fond of Nordic mythology and Nietzsche.

I'm also aware that my heritage is in no way threatened by my neighbor's heritage, no matter how different it may be from my own. And I've seen how shitheads like the dolts we make fun of here corrupt and mutilate everything that might be admirable in European culture. And by claiming any sympathy with these turds you only dirty yourself and prove you really have nothing at all to be proud of, least of all your "white"ness.
