@evan_mcmullin Nationalism (devotion to one’s Nation) can be good if driven to the common good (e.g., pay your fair taxes) 4/6

@evan_mcmullin Nationalism can be bad if used to rev up “tribal instinct” against the people’s interests (e.g., useless wars) 5/6

@evan_mcmullin Demagoguery (to gain power by appealing to emotion and prejudice) is never good and, if unchecked, leads to disaster 6/6
