This should work: https://www.google.com/search?q=site:blog.archive.is+something
Technically, no problem. It is too expensive to store full length screenshots.
I would not call it “work great”: http://archive.is/3UMcH
Even if archive passes the captcha check, it gets a page too slow and heavy to process :(
There is
mis-syncronisation with Google index.
If you lost the address of original page and the address of the archived page so Google is the only way to find, that means you’ll have to wait until next Google update
People often misunderstand that is the truth in case of archive.
The truth is that the archive software loaded a given webpage at given time and the browser had the content that was stored.
That is all.
It does NOT imply that:
Hardware fault, fixed
No, thank you. Maybe next year.
I have no bills which could be paid with bitcoins and convertion is neither easy nor cheap.
It is the same why there is at most 1..100 on google and other search engines (804 might look odd, the actual limit is 1000, that means there are 804 unique urls among that 1000).
It is already decentralized
But how? There is only one http://archive.is/favicon.ico which is requested for any page.
