He's actually done a pretty good job of escaping his dad, all things considered. Plus he won a title. That's pretty successful.

I don't argue your points when they come up. You're right. I don't know why I feel he could've 'achieve a little bit more'.

"he's seen more domestic glory than legends like Gerard who've never won the title once"

"if De Gea went to Madrid, which he of course will eventually"

But seriously I like Schmeichel but I wouldn't put him in the world class bracket. De Gea is world class and if he leaves (😢) we need to replace him with another world class goalie. The best periods through out the last 25 years for us have had a solid world class goalie and I don't think Schmeichel is at that level.

Apologies, ha.

I think he genuinely does like his place in the squad, and he's adored by fans. But it's only natural, to see his progression, him going back to Spain. Which ever club, I guess is still somewhat uncertain considering Real are fiending after a Courtois, Lloris, David type GK to take over from Navas.

Never said he was world class, that would indeed be a stretch. But weigh him up to the standards of say, idk, Bravo...does he really fall short there considering his faltering at City? Yes BRavo saw success prior but I don't think they're miles apart.

He's not good enough. That's all there is to it.

Also Romero is not the benchmark of a united level keeper. As useful as he has been recently he is still an average keeper who has very questionable decision making and panics. (good shot topper but that's not enough alone).

Kasper is a good goalkeeper for Leicester and I think he could play at a higher level. I think if he was to move to champions league team in Europe he would do well. Watching the Monaco city match 2 weeks ago I thought he would have a lot better than the Monaco keeper that night. Kasper is 29 now so hes entering his peak as a gk and if he keeps himself fit he can play for another 6-8 years.

Completely. That's why I find it absurd he's where he ended up.

I think he's 30? But still, he's easily got that time in him.
