An outspoken Trumpista at work said yesterday that he only voted for Trump to shake things up and that he knew his presidency could only last two years (ending with impeachment or resignation). He's apparently given up defending Trump and is now laying out his exit strategy.

I've began to hear this explanation as well.

I've reminded them of our many discussions we had about trump being the right person to "shake things up" and make changes pre-election and the lack of mention about knowing it couldn't last. Hindsight is always 20/20.

This isn't done maliciously, I welcome them to the sane portion of society but they own this...it was a freely made choice. Admit the mistake and move on instead of backtracking to why.
