Here is a good synopsis of what's going on currently.

Basically, the Sub Creator made a thread asking everyone what they wanted to do with the Sub. BGC has had some issues, there is a subreddit drama post on some of it. Mostly has to do with disliking the mods actions and inactions, as well as the community's well known negativity and extreme hivemind.

Anyway, some good suggestions were made from users in that post. For a few days, things we kinda normal in BGC.

Then it all went downhill very fast with most all mods leaving, whether or not it was their choice we're not sure. We know at least one that admitted she was kicked.

Now we can't even get into BGC to see what's going on. I can't link to anything in /r/BeautyGuruChat because it's no longer a public sub. Also, all my comments from the Sub are no longer in my history.

As a regular lurker/poster there... I'm rather sad at what's happened. But I'm really hoping that good things will come from these changes.
