It seems so called "liberals" have still not reconciled with the loss in recent rounds of elections.
Out of 5 election held, 2 were won in a huge majority by ruling "right-wing" party.
1 by the so called "liberal" party (and might I say well-deserved and truly a good news).
2 of the other results were still hanging, but it seems the "liberal" party is seen as such a curse that they could not form government in these remaining 2 states since no one wants to ally with them. Adding insult to injury, all the smaller parties and independents in these 2 remaining states decided to ally with the ruling "right-wing" party.

When people don't vote for your side, what you do ?
Call them lazy, uneducated and bigots

Or why not take the most plausible route and say the election was hacked

And to fight this "literal Nazi" Prime Minister, who does Indian "liberal" living in their echo chambers demand to run as the future leader ?

A man accused of killing his wife and involved in multi-million dollar scam. His only claim to fame among "liberals" is he speaks English in a British accent, trolls the Britishers and was once in UN.
But just to cover bases on why so called preppy beige skinned Indian guy won't win in India ?
Is it because he lacks mass appeal ? Is it because he is deeply scam tainted and suspected of murder ? Is it because he might have compromised security by cheating on his with with a foreign journalist ? Is it because as a minister and member of parliament, he didn't have any widely known achievements or the fact his own party doesn't like him much ?
Nope, Cause people unlike liberals are dumb and don't appreciate intelligence.

Note: For lot of non-Indians you must be wondering why words like liberal and right-wing are in quotations. It's because in India there is no truly liberal party. On economics, even our so called right-wing party is left of Bernie, it's simply because till 1990s, India was a Socialist country and officially it still is .
On social issues while the ruling party is more Hindu, the so called liberal party rely heavily on courting minorities which they themselves have acknowledged has lost support among urban moderates and poor people from majority.
Even on social issues it gets murky because the so called right-wing party just passed the maternity leave bill for paid maternity leave, wants reservation for women in parliament and wants equal access to divorce and inheritance laws for Muslim women (which helped them gain support of significant Muslim women).
