There's something in the authoritarian brain that instinctively recognizes weaknesses in a system or a personality - flaws they can exploit. In a threaded discussion format with integer voting, that flaw is downthread comments, since only the more dedicated readers pursue the discussions that far.
Unfortunately, one category of very dedicated reader - because they're mostly Russian government employees getting paid to do it - are Trump trolls. They know they can't do shit about top-level comments in a sub like this, so they just wait around until a conversation cools down, until a thread has accumulated a lot of branches, and then they just swoop in like vultures to bombard-downvote everything in their little red book of verboten ideas.
The most attractive target, as I've found, is comments that simply remind people that Donald Trump is not elected. That an election is when the people of a country choose who runs their government, not some opaque Soviet-esque process where a handful of connected people come together in secret to decide the fate of millions and billions.
The former is an election. The latter is an oligarchy. Hillary won the election. Donald Trump got the seal of approval from the Politburo. Guess which one matters more if you give the slightest fuck about freedom?
And they constantly prove themselves liars when they attack this fact, insisting it doesn't matter. Well, if it doesn't matter, why they you attacking it? Why are they obsessively attacking it, obsessively brigading every mention of Hillary Clinton's election victory? Quite obviously because they're lying and her victory means a great deal.
Everything, in fact. Because the Donald Trump regime has no political foundation. Trump is like a small child who runs on to the field at a ball game and steals some piece of pro equipment, and now thinks that this action makes him a professional athlete.
He's running a voluntary association of criminals and collaborators, and he knows it. They all know it. They are ultra-sensitive to any mention of the fact or other facts that might cause people to independently realize it.
He is unelected. He is not President of the United States. Which means he is nothing but some schmuck making a giant ass of himself in public, stealing our money, and polluting our historic buildings with his occasional presence when he's not Louis XVI-ing at one of his billionaire retreats at our expense.
Not elected. Not President.
Let the Trazi pieces of reptilian shit who think they're going to gaslight us into forgetting that by brigading downthread comments know that it is still central in mind.
