Wayne Rooney, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial missing from Manchester United squad ahead of Chelsea clash
Wayne Rooney, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial did not travel with the rest of their Manchester United team-mates to London ahead of their FA Cup tie with Chelsea.
The Red Devils are still fighting for their place in the Premier League’s top-four but there has been no prior indication that Jose Mourinho will rest players for the Stamford Bridge clash on Monday night.
However, three of United’s star forwards – Rooney, Rashford and Martial – were not spotted with the rest of the squad at Stockport Station on Sunday afternoon.
Manchester Evening News suggest that a 20-man squad boarded a train to the capital, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic suspended for the much-anticipated fixture.
