One of the unfortunately realities of human nature is a desire for man to oppress his fellow man. In the old days, this oppression can be performed through outright violence, but in the world of wage slavery this oppression expresses itself in intimidation using status symbols and conspicuous consumption. I'd like to share some tips for fellow MGTOWs on how to overcome this status anxiety.

My advice is as follows: work honestly and earnestly but never compete with others. Drop out of the status game completely.

By never dating or marrying, you free up a lot if time, and I recommend you devote this free time to honest and earnest work, which means making a genuine attempt to add value and advertise to others the value you can add to others. Take work home so you work on the weekends as well. While everyone else is going out and wasting money playing the consumerism game with their significant other, you are working. Work all the time.

Never play the status game simply by dropping out of it as soon as it begins. If someone asks you what car you drive, just say that our have a cheap one you paid with cash. Invest your money and don't pay any attention to how much you have. Just focus on the process if work. If someone asks you how much you have, tell them you do not know.

When applying for jobs or promotions, do not take anything personally. Train yourself to be emotionless, like a machine. If you get the promotion or job, you don't care. If you get rejected, you don't care. You are merely following a process, a system.

Work honestly and earnestly, seeking to provide value to others. Do not compete in the status game. Fly the white flag when anyone challenges you in status competition. Invest all your money in globally diversified index funds and seek to live off your investments. Don't focus on the outcome of job interviews. Focus on the process. Attempt to emulate a machine that simply follows a code. Never date, never marry, never start a family, and never have children, as these will only increase your expenses and liabilities. Freedom comes from minimizing obligations whether it contractual legal obligations like a mortgage or credit card debt or social and cultural obligations like wife and children. Obligation is a euphemism for slavery.

As you build your wealth and passive income, you can use that passive income to shield yourself from the world so they you remove yourself from situations and people who attempt to engage you in pointless and wasteful status competition. One step at a time.
