A lot of transphobic people (both conservative and TERF) suggest that trans people go to therapy and counseling instead of transitioning, but none of them ever say the method used.

Is there a lot of gaslighting?

Do they just constantly say "You're a man, you're a man, you're a man" or "You're a woman, you're a woman, you're a woman" until the cows come home?

Is it like gay conversion therapy, where they force you to alter your hobbies and friends circle to see if that makes you change?

Do they force you to touch yourself and see if that somehow cures your dysphoria?

Do they force you to stay off social media or stop listening to the radio?

How would that therapy work?
