Love is a similarly artificial abstraction.

The biological drives that compels animals to rub their genitals together.

Perhaps what you are trying to say that as a human with the gift of foresight we should strive to use it to make good choices. To build a secure and prosperous future. And to an extent you are right.

But all humans are caught somewhere between the rising ape and the falling angel. And not all at the same point.

All humans are different. Will always be different. And with that have different perspectives and priorities.

Let it go. Define yourself however you see fit but know that is the extent of your power. You cannot define others and trying to do so will only bring suffering.

This is an imperfect world and always will be. That imperfection touches everything. But only in your mind with practice and perspective can you do anything about it. And only for yourself.

All other roads lead to ceaseless delusion and suffering.
