The only reason people participated in having sex, relationships, family etc, was because if you didn't then you would not survive in this world. You would be finished.

Think about how harsh the world was as little as 70 years ago. There was a world war going on with potential for bombs to drop on your head real easy. That was only 70 years ago, which is nothing.

Society has moved at such an extraordinary fast pace in the last half decade, that nobody has figured it out.

I look at people(especially men) in relationships and pursuing sex and just laugh at why any of that matters anymore.
