16' Grant goes off after hitting the ground hard after a collision with Mkhi.

20' MANCHESTER UNITED YELLOW CARD Mkhitaryan is booked early on for shielding a Rostov player off the ball. The ref seems to be buying Rostov's embellishments early on.

24' FC ROSTOV YELLOW CARD Gatcan gets a yellow for a dangerous challenge on Ibra. Sort of jumped into it, but no studs were showing.

30' No real chances for either side in the opening half an hour. The pitch isn't conducive to good football and the game isn't flowing at all.

35' MANCHESTER UNITED GOAL UNITED LEAD! MKHITARYAN!!! Fellaini does well to chest the ball down on the wing before feeding Ibra through to the by-line. Ibra cuts the ball back and Mkhi makes no mistake to slot home with his left foot!

40' Rostov's potential best chances have come from free kicks but they haven't delivered on them and Romero has done well to gather. This game has been very scrappy with few moments of magic.
