At one point they seem quasi-normal, but as time progresses they slowly degenerate, for seemingly little reason.

As far as I can tell, they experience an intermix of frustration, anxiety and mild anger.

They then express this through their fashion (short hair, piercings and various assortments of abnormal clothing) and to that, their mannerisms change, often becoming more abrasive (tone of voice, fine and gross motor skills, etc)

I do not understand why they do this... are they stupid enough to believe that 'woe is me' will win them a prize?

Is this as a means of protest, a way by which their class of female can gain societal recognition?

How little do they understand... most of society seems to look down on these people, but once the mentally sane die off this subspecies will be celebrated.
