I want to weigh in on this and say that this particular bot can be very handy for this subreddit in the sense that lots of users here post 'thank you' posts with the usernames of people in the post body. This doesn't trigger a notification however (as danknissan already explained) and it can cause some people to miss thank you posts being dedicated to them. It might seem like a small thing but I love the generosity and thankfulness and overall good vibes of this sub and this bot could help people get their 'thank you' message to the people they're wanting to thank.

Aside from that it's easy to get the bot to leave you alone if you already know this stuff. So I definitely see the use for this subreddit though obviously it's up to you guys to decide this.
