If you had a name with consonant clusters in it, the big kind human languages have but elven ones absolutely don't, you'd be less optimistic about elves accommodating humans. Try getting one of them to say "Dunstan Godfrey", I'll wait. That's why I want to give my daughter a normal name like Caevâra or Annabel, but my coworker said I can't because those are elven names and humans didn't come up with them so we can't have them. I don't think that's fair though? Not our fault we speak Vélafyr now!
This isn’t really a species difference, it’s a matter of what you grow up used to. You can name your daughter whatever you want, of course, especially since she’ll grow up speaking the language in which those names are common.
