I've been on this sub for a long time now. Hell, I've even become a mod in the process.

Saudi women fleeing the country, Pakistanis trying to escape, Americans not putting up with their government... but this is by far the most bizarre reason I've seen here for someone to emigrate.

I want to go to a place where people actually look like me, I'm ~1/4 Irish heritage

your heritage is irrelevant, you're not Irish, you're American. If you tell someone in Ireland "hey, I'm 25% Irish!" you'll be mocked and laughed at.

Eh, depends on how you phrase it. I've talked to some people about geneology, but I'm also into geneology. Many people find it cool that I know where in Europe many of my ancestors are from and can trace their migration through the US.

Soooo... white? You may be surprised to find Ireland isn't full of pale red-headed people you know.

If you've graduated from college or a post-grad program within the last 12 months, you'd be eligible for a Working Holiday visa. That would allow you to live here for a year and take up any employment during that time.

Outside of that, I'm afraid your qualifications would most likely not be sufficient for a work permit. Almost all customer service type jobs are specifically ineligible for work permits at all. An art teaching position isn't a critical skill, so it would require a labour market needs test, and the odds of not finding an art teacher in the EU to fill a position would probably be slim to none.

Of course, you could always come here for a long visit (up to 90 days) on a tourist permission, provided you have the funds to support yourself and can prove such to the immigration officer's satisfaction. You would not be allowed to work, however.
