Hi Guys, This is Alok from India. I have a sucking corporate life job and united is my only ray of happiness. I have been an ardent fan of united from 1998 (because of fifa 98-road to world cup) mainly because of david beckham, but over the years i have become a fanatic, a die hard fan, my emotions are drawn by this club. I have a learnt a lot from united like serious life lessons. I have faced every emotion with this club be it sad, angry, love etc. Most importantly, i cracked an important interview because of united (interviewer liked my passion towards the club). I, even, broke up with my girlfriend, coz she asked me to choose between her and united (took me one sec to decide). As the king cantona said, United is life, rest are mere details. I have started following this subreddit like few years back and believe me i have learnt a hell lot from this, reading the comments (views of the people here, new posts, its very insightful), first thing i do everyday is open this and update myself. I dont use any other source in transfer windows because this subreddit is like one place for everything. Thank You guys for everything, for all the posts (stupid, non-stupid), Thanks a lot!! On a serious note, i am from India and i have seen a new wave of following football and clubs from past few years, there are fans for every club, one of my mate is a man shitty fan (coz of aguero). But, here united fans have a very bad image of being idiots, arrogant and like plastic fans. Even few of my friends have said you guys think you are the best and that shows in your personality. I guess this is because of some set of fans who are follower from past 2-3 years who just know ronaldo and few players and these ones are ruining the image of all the fans across the sub-continent. I want to say we are not like that i equally respect all other clubs (except scousers and arsenal) i enjoy matches of other clubs. Just want your views on these (set of plastic fans). This used to bother me but now i just ignore, i follow the quote Weak People Revenge, Strong People Forgive, Intelligent People Ignore. Thanks!!!
