We signed Jose Mourinho as our new manager after the sacking of LVG.

Jose has been successful on the market by signing the likes of Ibrahimovic, Pogba, Mkhitaryan and Bailly.

The start of the season was very good as we won teams both easily and tactically.

But the dip in form came after the home game vs Man City with a loss of 2-1, we struggles with draws both in the league and in the Europa League. Players performing badly and the fans lost hope in the title as Chelsea continued their winning form and United continue dropping points and eventually struck at 6th.

October came, Jose continued to experiment the team and finally got a 'working' team. We won games after games in all competition, got into the semi-finals of the League Cup after winning Man City and West Ham.

The unbeaten run lasted till the second half of the season in 2017 and United is finally closing the gap to the top 4. Fans was pleased with Ibrahimovic's wonderful form, and Mkhitaryan breaking into the team. We finally think we had a chance to the top 4.

In the early stages of the year, the winning run was broken by Hull City in the League Cup and Liverpool in the league. Even with the loss, we progressed to the final of the League Cup and eventually won the League Cup against Southamton with a thrilling game that ended 3-2.

United continue its way into the Round of 16 in Europa after an easy tie with ASSE.

As United finally can move up the table when we were struck at 6th for months, United bottled the chance with a draw against Bournemouth 1-1 and lost their chance to move up the table. Fans was so angry with the team as it wasn't the first time we lost a game that we should have won.

But with a game in hand, United still have a chance to progress in the league.

We started quite poor and had a lot of draws which should have been wins. Dominated the games but couldn't finish our chances. Decisions were also going against us (this has evened out now though). Then Mkhitaryan came into the team, overall performances improved massively. We came closer to the top 4 but now it has kind of stagnated and we have remained in 6th place.

The last 3 seasons have been pretty awful so, in comparison, most fans are happier with the way the football has gone this season. Mourinho made some huge signings and is hoping to make more. With that being said, we've done poorly in the league so far. After a horrible first 2-3 months, we found ourselves way off from the top 4 (which is what every top club is fighting for other than the trophy itself). We went on a good run, and hell, we're still undefeated since October, and have made up huge ground on our competitors but haven't been able to take advantage of the numerous opportunities we've had to overtake them. We've dropped points far too often against teams that we should be beating. Many of these games were games where we were actually spanking the opposition but could not find a goal. So here we are. 6th for what feels like forever. On the brink of top 4 but unable to break in. Lots of people are losing hope we'll make it as time is running out but it's still a possibility. We already won one trophy so far and are in 2 other tournaments still that we can win so it's not all gloomy. For the most part the football has been entertaining as well.

For now I'd give this season a 6/10 in terms of meeting my expectations. If we actually finish top 4, and win the Europa league, I'd be willing to give the season a 7 or even 8 (this is because I died a thousand deaths over the last 3 years and I dont think my expectations of our new manager are overly high in his first season here). I'm expecting the league next season though or at least a fight to the death for it.

Talking points:

1) New, top quality manager after 3 years and two managers who didn't meet the expectations of the fans or the board.

2) The quality of football has improved, but so have all the other teams around us. So whilst things are better this season in terms of quality of football, we're not in any better position in the table.

3) Zlatan is god.

4) Arsenal

5) Fuck Lee Mason. Fuck Danny Rose. Fuck Tyrone Mings.

Tyrone was the one who stepped on Zlatan right? Also, what about Arsenal?

Well, first of all, we suffered a disappointing draw in our game yesterday against Bournemouth. Very chaotic game and I'd suggest you watch the highlights because you'd have a lot of talking points just from that! (Stomp on Ibra, Ibra throwing an elbow, etc.)

Overall though, the season is going as expected IMO. We struggled to build chemistry in the beginning of the season, costing us a lot of valuable points, but we have made a lot of good progress in the last 3 months. We just won the League Cup last weekend against Southhampton (watch highlights) in very dramatic fashion. We are still alive in the Europa Cup, playing Rostov this Thursday, and are probably favorites to win the tournament which would mean Champions League qualification for next year! This would be a massive success for the club and negate our early struggles in the premier league. We got unlucky having to play Chelsea in the FA Cup away next week, but I'd say we can beat them if we play a perfect game. And lastly, we currently sit 6th in the league right now, just behind Liverpool and Arsenal, but have a chance to finish top 4 if we play out of our heads to finish the season. Tying games has been out Achilles heel this year, and although we've been unlucky in a few of those games, it comes down to poor finishing in front of goal. We've only lost 3 games in the league and would be comfortably in top 4 right now if we could have turned some of those draws into wins. Our finishing needs to improve for next season because it's not guarantee that Ibra will be as clutch as he has been this season. We still have to play four of the big clubs (City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham ) which is the hardest run in of all the big clubs. I have faith in the team, but it's definitely going to be tough. Hoping that Liverpool and Arsenal will drop some points to help us out. It's been an up and down season so far, which is expected with a new manager and a few key players being brought in over the summer, but with way more ups!! The biggest positive IMO is the team's aggressive, attacking playing style which was missing the last three seasons. We finally feel like Manchester United again and that is a great feeling.

We brought in four very good summer signings (Ibra, Pogba, Mhki and Bailly and they have all helped us this season, especially Ibra with his clinical finishing. That being said, we are still a few players away from competing for the premier league title. We will definitely bring in top class talent over the summer, but it remains to be seen if we can get that additional superstar or two to push us over the edge as one of the best teams in Europe. Pogba is the key for me, however. He has shown flashes of brilliance this season and has been very unlucky with the hitting the post/crossbar like 10 times, but he needs to be more consistent throughout the season and step up when we have big games. I believe he will be much better next year, after a season under his belt.

The game you are going to against Everton is an absolute must win if we want to finish top 4 this season. I think they'll get it done and you'll have a great time at the game! Enjoy your trip and I hope this helped!
