Today I received an email with this content and a downloadable zip file which I did NOT download or unzip.
--------------
Dear Customer,

Your item has arrived at March 02, but our courier was not able to deliver the parcel.

You can download the shipment label attached!

All the best,
Victor Klein,
UPS Parcels Delivery Agent.
------------------

You can't trust ANYthing anymore.
Right?

I am expecting a pkg of some junk I bought on Ebay .... but I doubt this is that.... in fact I just checked Ebay and don't even see that item... so perhaps I never completed that purchase... so it can't be the ebay thing.

Why not run a virus scan on the zip?

Why not use UPS tracking if you have the number. And consider how UPS would have gotten your email address, to begin with. Or that there are no details about the "package". I think I have gotten one of those mails and of course I had nothing on order. I guess if you can fool some of the people some of the time, you can really make a killing if your list of potential suckers is large enough.

I've received many of those over the years that claim to be from FEDEX and I'm not even expecting a parcel, let alone from Fedex, they are fake. In the trash they go.

I create a different email address for everyone to use. So if I get an email from UPS addressed to say pbpix@macrohenry.com, I'll know it didn't come from either UPS or pbpix.

But I do it in the mail address
My name is "Peter AMZ Balazsy" for Amazon etc

C'mon, with a name like Victor Klein how could you not trust him?

Seems the grammar should be the dead giveaway "Your item has arrived at March 02"

Yes... the language is always the 1st dead giveaway.
Anyone for whom English is not their first language always murders our grammar.

And even if it were real, what good is a shipping label to you?

Why you just print it out and take it to the location of the package so they can apply it and deliver it to you. Makes sense, doesn't it?

I've gotten a few of those myself. With the first one I replied back and told them that the file wouldn't open, and to kindly send me the tracking number. Of course there was no response.
I would suspect that the attachment was a Trojan.
