People need to hinder their nostalgic feelings regarding Rooney and realise how bad he is. (self.reddevils)

I know people don't welcome critical debate on here, and kind of kids the players' ass.

But the pass Rooney constantly gets is shocking. People have find memories of him Which is fine. However they are painting over the bigger picture. Rooney needs to go ASAP. He is genuinely our worst player.

So sick of not being able to criticise him.

We had several players worse on the pitch today. I agree Rooney should go soon. But he was not the problem today

You can criticize him. I dont think he needs to go. Just less game time. If he does go (which i think he most likely will) then that is fine too. You cannot dismiss the fact that Mourinho hasn't played him. If he was playing game in game out as he did with LVG then i'd be a bit bothered with the under par performances but he isn't. The only major things i've heard is the concern with his wages but i heard that they are much of a burden to the club due to sponsorships etc.

People have been criticising him for months on here, especially at the start of the season. I'd say the majority of people in this subreddit have accepted the fact that he's gone well past his peak and isn't gonna be a starter again. He doesn't really offer anything anymore I think.
