I kind of regret selling my PS4. I mean, I did it at the right time, just a couple weeks before the Pro became official, but that console sure does have a lot of great games. I wish I'd gotten to play Uncharted 4 before selling it.

Honestly 95% of my gaming happens on the PC, but as long as Naughty Dog keeps developing for the Playstation, I'll always have one.

And this is why exclusives suck.. You're forced to buy a PS4 just to play a game and support a developer you like. And yet console players tout this as some kind of advantage?

Its literally a revenue model. Just like planned obsolescence. They cause you to spend money you otherwise wouldn't.

yeah im actually considering buying a ps4 right now there are a few games they have i want like bloodborne, horizon zero dawn and some other.

but i also want the nintendo switch for the new zelda.. but i wont buy both and the switch is overpriced as hell.. fuck exclusives man :(

I'll throw in a personal recommendation for Bloodborne. It's fucking amazing. If you can afford it I would definitely go for it.

PC exclusives aren't PC exclusives for the purpose of taking games hostage to attract people to the PC ecosystem.

They're exclusives for other reasons, like indie devs that can't afford whatever the consoles cost to publish on these days, games that wouldn't be possible on consoles due to performance or control scheme, things like that.

I very much dislike this line of reasoning. Many console games wouldn't exist if the publishers didn't fund them. Same thing with Bayonetta 2 where fans cried foul. Either Nintendo funded them and they went on the Wii U or the game simply wouldn't exist.

I'm not a fan of exclusives either, but sometimes there are very good reasons they exist.

Nah of course PC has exclusives, it actually has the most. But I personally never tout it as a benefit or a reason the system is superior. I personally am a biiiig fan of cross play, and love how Rocket League will be one of the first to bring all 3 together.

Its a shame that we have this revenue model, because that's what it really is, preventing consumers from having truly free choice.

I know multiple people who are stuck on the PC, they don't want to make the jump and all they've been playing is Soulsborne, without Bloodborne...

They don't know, they don't know how amazing Bloodborne is let alone the other PS exclusives. They are also hoping that FromSoftware make another Souls-like game which they are but it's with Sony Japan so they can expect more exclusives.

My friend shops for the Mobile deal where you get a console/TV with the deal. He got his PS4 a month ago, he's back on Steam now. I don't hate them but they do consistently sell themselves under false pretences. Mind you, most products do.

I have a PS4, it has my PS3 on top of it, and on top of my PS3 is my AVS Nintendo clone console. On top of that I stacked some movies I watched the other day. On the shelf below that is my Amiga. My Amiga get a lot more use than all the consoles above it.
