I'm posting this because several people in my original thread wanted to know how things shook out in the end.

I've been free and happy for 9 months. She's living with her parents now. She still hasn't bothered to look for work, in fact she's turned down job offers. I've been spending time working on myself and being happy.

She calls almost daily to tell the kids what a terrible person I am, but as soon as they are done talking they come and tell me the crazy things she said, and then we all laugh about it.

In any case, yesterday she called and the reality of life without my economic input was starting to get to her. She screeched that she was going to sue to have the whole thing reversed, and she was going to take the house and the kids and my entire retirement.

But she can't. I live in one of the best states in the country for this. There will be no modification of distribution of assets. She could try to change custody, but even the misandrist courts would likely side with me since she has no income, no house, no job. The kids (who are both teens) have been thriving with me as the sole parent for 9 months now. Also they are both horrified at the idea of living with her.

She went in to a battle of wits completely unarmed.
