Why not Harry Kane instead of Griezmann? (self.reddevils)

If we are really signing a marquee player, what are arguments against signing Harry Kane? All I see is that he would be a better fit for us than Griezmann(Not saying Griezmann would not help us). Kane is an out and out striker that we need. Griezmann is kind of a second striker. Kane is probably the only world class English player at the moment(Yes, he is world class imo and probably going to be the England captain someday). He has one of the best finishings if you ask me. Has proved in the premier league. Also, if you take last 3 years record, Kane is up there with some of the European elite strikers in the number of goals scored. That is not a one season wonder. Doing the same thing for 3 consecutive seasons do proves that the guy is talented. Also, he is built big and can hold the ball(Jose Mourinho's type striker). Kane has scored more goals than Griezmann has in the last 3 years. He might come for cheaper price than Griezmann too. I think serious arguement can be made on why Kane would be a better option than Griezmann.

Edit: Also, once Rooney and Carrick leaves, we won't have any reputed English players in the squad. I personally think that it is good to have some reputed English players in the core of the squad.

What makes you think that? There's no way spurs would bend us over a barrel and give it too us as hard as they possibly could in terms of fee. They are at this point a direct rival for top 4 spaces and levy is a hard bastard when it comes to these matters.

Griezmann definitely the more commercially viable option, probably has Ed salivating at the thought of a potential telecommunications sponsorship deal to be done from Antoine's celebration

  1. Because Kane is a striker, Griezmann would play as AM and wouldn't block Rashford.

  2. Kane would be even more expensive even though he's not better than Griezmann

Smalling, Jones, Shaw, Lingard, Rashford.

Negotiating with Levy is a pain in the ass and we have experienced that when signing Berba and Carrick as examples. Bale to Real Madrid is another example of doing dealings with Levy being difficult. Based on these I just don't think Kane would be cheaper than Griezmann.

Kane's English, he will cost us much more from what i can imagine, and he also happy at Spurs. While Grizemann has huge sources and other factors that he linked here.

If Spurs don't qualify for the UCL and we qualify for it, I don't see why we can't lure him to United. In fact, I don't think it will be that hard.

First of all im not all for Griezman. But sry all english but Griezman is so much better of an player than Kane. Kane would never win us a game in the latter stages of CL. Plus he looks like a fucking Wall Street douche

How is Kane world class if he can't/hasn't produced it on the highest stages look back to this seasons Champs even "Europa" and last seasons Euros the majority of big games he doesn't turn up and he doesn't have the track record that Antoine does I think Kane is great striker and his goal record is great but they have come against trash sides if you look back at the majority of the goals he has scored there in games that won't ever be remembered unless your a Arsenal or Chelsea fan.

Personally I would put him in the same group as Lukaku of being an excellent player in the prem but not an Elite all round and he certainly doesn't justify the racks of money there cunt owner would demand.
