What is the purpose today's man?

In historic times, man used his strength to protect and provide food and shelter for the woman and his children. Their visuo-spatial abilities and prowess aided them in exploration and ability to attain food.

What is the value of this in today's world? What is the value of his strength when the state can protect the woman? What is the value of his physical superiority when he gets jailed for hitting someone? or that is he domesticated and does not even think to fight?

What is his strength in providing food for the woman when there are policies being made to ensure she makes almost equal wages and can, with the aid of technology, afford it herself? (Yet still men must pay for dates, pay to support the woman, pay for child support etc.)

Modern women don't need a man. Modern society has valued materialism. It has valued the material qualities but not the innate qualities of nature, beauty but not courage, emotion instead of logic. It has valued the strengthening of the state at the disposal of the power of the common man leaving him emasculated and a slave.

The basic qualities of man that made him valuable have gone. It has been replaced by technology and the state. What should he do? What do you think?
