FFS Look at DASH. Broken $31. Its quadrupled in 2-3 months. Why is it rising. Simple pump dump?

Im only asking for something LTC. Even past $4.50 just to start something. This is depressing!!!!!!!!

Whales are not done accumulating. When the BTC ETF is approved then LTC/BTC ratio drops so more whales can pick up cheap coins. Then when that's over the China miners update their stuff to support segwit and it activates. Then LTC explodes.

Other possibility: The ETF is rejected and PBOC confiscates all foreign btc/ltc on the chinese exchanges that don't comply with KYC/AML regulations; btc dumps to hell but ltc thrives cause very few foreigners trade ltc on those exchanges. Overall both drop vs. usd.

Now is not the time to be buying Litecoin.

If the BTC ETF is approved, BTC will go up, and you're going to miss the boat by being in LTC.

If the BTC ETF is declined, BTC will go down, and LTC always wants to go down with it. (Never goes up with it, but always goes down with it)

Buying before decision = No matter which direction the ETF turns, it's a lose/lose situation for LTC.

See how the BTC ETF plays out, and either A. Jump on the BTC bandwagon to ride it up, then buy more LTC, or B. Wait for LTC to crash with BTC, then buy more LTC.

Buying after decision = No matter which direction the ETF turns, it's a win/win situation for LTC.

Be patient just a couple more weeks, then make your move.

This is a very short term way of looking at LTC. Prices are up from a year ago, and have been fairly stable around its current price. If you're investing long term (which is the only reason you should be buying LTC), there's nothing wrong with buying now. I am doubtful that the ETF will get approved, and LTC will probably fall a bit with BTC that day, but it shouldn't have lasting effects on LTC's price and trying to time the market is gambling.

I'm saying there is something wrong with buying now.

Either wait and ride the ETF approval up with Bitcoin, then buy more LTC, or wait for the ETF denial to drop LTC's price, then buy more LTC.

I'm giving people my advice on accumulating more LTC. If you want less LTC, then by all means, buy now.

I want more LTC in the event that Segwit activates, which is why I'm doing the above.

It's too risky to move your entire position like that, better to have some LTC and some BTC, add to your position of LTC if the price drops, and if BTC goes up more, move some into LTC. The ultimate goal is to have a large position in LTC before Segwit activates so you 're on the train when the price starts to move.

You're saying that, in the next two weeks, LTC can only either stay the same (best case) or go lower (worst case).

The only take away message one can get from this is ... sell if you're holding any LTC.

What I'm saying is:

If the ETF is approved, Bitcoin will go up significantly. By being in LTC, you're missing that.

If the ETF is denied, LTC will go down.

Being in LTC right now, unless you're a hodler, just isn't optimal. Wait two weeks, then decide whether to be in LTC or not.

Yeah ... I know. As I said, you're indicating that the only two outcomes in the next two weeks are it either (1) does nothing or (2) goes down. So, if you're already a hodler ... you may as well sell, because there's no upside holding for the next two weeks while waiting for the ETF decision.

Is there a third outcome that I missed in your analysis?

I never said you did.

I summarized your conclusions, and then stated what the next logical steps would be if you were a hodler.

Basically, you stated "it's A" and I said "OK, if it's A, then this implies B" ... but I never said you said anything about B, I was concluding B based on your conclusions on A.

A hodler doesn't make short term trades in order to maximize the number of coins they have, so no, I wouldn't consider my steps to be the logical ones to take if you were a hodler. :-)
