I'll keep it simple: proposed to girl, found TRP, now I want to go my own way. The only problem is that we live together. This is my first job out of college, only making 30k, I cannot afford even a studio apt in the area im in. I also have no friends or family in this town.

I need some suggestions on what to do. I already called off the wedding but she assumes that in the future I still want to get married and have kids - I dont. What really set this stone in place is when she mentioned "one day our family . . blah blah" . . .I just cringed and was full of disgust.

I want to break up as soon as possible. We have six more months on an apartment lease together. I am not going to just ghost because she cannot afford this apartment on her own. (I want to leave her but I dont want to fuck up her credit). She is a good person, I just dont want to be in this relationship. She never cheated, etc.

I really need help on what to do. The only way I can see the happening is: Break up now. Then live the remaining six months as "roommates". This will allow her not to be blind sided and find a new place/roommate before our lease ends.

I am a tad worried how she will react because she can be extremely emotional. I have already taken pictures of my valuables (desktop, etc) just in case she goes apeshit and breaks something.

What should I be aware of in this situation? I am scared that the longer we stay together after we break up, the more emotional and unstable she will become, the more likely hood of her doing crazy accusations and/or breaking things.
