What if cdpr did a lotr game (self.witcher)

The announcement of shadow of war got me thinking about what I want from a lotr game (SO didn't do it for me ) and honestly I think giving cdpr a shot would be the best call . Imagine a fully realised middle earth created with attention to the minutest details in a way only they can do , and we'd be getting a lotr game with the chance of an actual , decent , well developed protagonist. Anyone else think this would be a good idea ? What time period should it be set it?

I actually really enjoy the way the current studio is handling things. I loved Shadow of Mordor and thought it was great.

I dunno. I don't think that Middle-Earth lends itself to games very well. It's too intertwined, has too much detail. Middle-Earth is layers upon layers upon layers of stuff. Too much exposition for a game.
