Also, it was Hitler and the SS that was mainly responsible for eliminating "undesirables".

The Wehrmacht fought and died for their country just like every nation in WW2. They don't deserve to be dragged through the dirt with every damn WW2 game and movie. One exception I can think of is Heros & Generals, which does a fair job of depicting the Germans as equals. Along with a few RTS games.

Hitler was simply trying to build a homogeneous society with a high sense of nationalism and racial purity, and to do that you need "the other", the Jews were the most sensible target.
