So if I have this straight. The SJW infiltration of indie gaming scene was a calculated invasion by the AAA developers to contain the indie revolution.

SJWs are always useful idiots to some larger interest. It doesn't have to be some grand conspiracy, they just have concerns for the things that don't really matter (muh inclusion, muh diversity) but are cheap and easy to fix. They always drown out the voices with genuine concerns that are expensive to fix (your gameplay sucks, your business model is exploitative, you treat your devs like hot garbage, your DRM is terrible).

It happened with Mighty Number 9, it happened with Overwatch, and it will keep happening in each successive community unless someone notices the pattern and stands up to it.

It doesn't need some grand scheme by the AAA publishers. They can curate what they choose to highlight and respond to, and they are just as at fault as the SJWs for choosing to highlight and respond to the cheap and easy problems that don't really matter.

(Also, why were big publishers getting involved in a CONSUMER revolt at all? Hmm...)

Or I might be unsure of what you're referring to. The last thing I remember about Overwatch was the bugged model, which Blizzard fixed because it was bugged all to fuck, and after the fact a few outlets wrote articles about it as though Blizzard was fatshaming and caving to demands.

You edited your post after I replied, which is very bad reddiquette. Tsk tsk!

I don't even know what you're talking about, so I guess it's probably some reference to when Sargon, Cult of Vivian, and the like all tried to end the hashtag behind the scenes and I wrote my little bit about how I'd go about ending it if I was in charge.

Honestly, the more I read my plan for ending the tag, the more I think it would have been a better approach than what that crowd actually attempted. Of course, the plan was self-contradictory by nature, advocating for grassroots change and a top-down approach simultaneously, so good luck actually following it.

As for "had a good time", my channel's exactly where I want it to be. Thanks for your concern. Also, the cancerous cliques want nothing to do with me, which is awesome. I didn't end up thrown under the bus for the sake of "the community" like Harmful Opinions did over the Candid thing, for example, because I already disassociated myself from them. Win win!

If you mean my "lie of omission" by trying to cover for Cult of Vivian by avoiding mentioning her at all, that was a mistake. I should never have tried to cover for her.

Anyway, sunlight is said to be the best of disinfectants; electric light the most efficient policeman, so in the past I dumped basically all relevant DMs between me and GameDiviner. You can read what really went on behind the scenes and judge for yourself.

Decent video. Although I have to question why they had to use a image of boogie when talking about guy fawkes mask. There million of pictures they could use but they use imagine of person who specifically asked not to be dragged into politics ? I know Boogie checks this board on a semi basis so he not anti GG but at same time he expressed several times how he hates to be dragged into stuff like this.
