Eh, I've seen more hate from t_d users in general. I'm not going to call them racist or anything like that, but you can't deny that their entire subreddit often comes down to name calling. I'm tired of reddit's (or US politics) "you're either with us or them" policy, its become ridiculous. I've pointed it out in the past on their subreddit, as I think they could be taken more seriously if they didn't call everyone a cuck/libtard/pedo/coward/barbarians just based off of political views.

The racism part gets in mixed in though I can't say they are trying to be racist. Here is what I often see happening:

1. /r/politics posts anti-trump article. A million of these. Sometimes not abiding by their own guidelines that if it isn't political it needs to be removed (i.e. books sales of this author went up or down after recent debate with Trump. Pro Trump's tend to get removed, anti-trumps tend to stay).

2. /r/the_donald reacts. Here is the issue, often the politics subreddit will have something about some type of immigrants in one country or another. So t_d will "would be a shame if this got to /r/all" a ton of articles, which do point out a counter event. Single events look bad though, what you really need is statistics (and those do come up on t_d). Unfortunately the flooding of single events (look at this illegal immigrant who killed someone), while horrible, can add a negative image to t_d. Stuff like the swedish grenade attacks is a better topic to bring up, instead.

3. For the longest time, t_d was flooding the front. They aren't red/blue pilling people at that point, just pissing people off who want to stay out of politics. You'll just get dislike against them at this point. These countless, unnecessary subreddits are the push back to t_d often using their own tactics. High vote counts, not so high comments, etc. Not discussion, just trying to push their own message to /all.

You shouldn't see racist comments directly on t_d, though the blatant push of anti-muslim/immigrant/mexican illegals articles comes off that way. It's a valid topic to discuss, honestly, but without finesse (political correctness/etc) it is pretty easy to come off as racist. Even if you are PC, someone will accuse you of being racist. It sometimes feels like that unless you are the minority race, that you are by default racist for doing anything that doesn't benefit minorities. For example, I'm not a fan of affirmative action. Racism is such a hot topic and I'll say it clearly still exists, goes both ways, and is difficult to tackle either way. You have to tread carefully around related topics, and I'd argue that t_d is the last place that treads carefully around those topics.
