Not long before we find one extended family winning majority of seats in a Vidhan Sabha.
Nothing is going to improve as long as people of India are happy being ruled by families and authority figures of their locality. You can't impose democracy on a country. The people have to want it and need to fight to preserve it.

Not just UP, our enitre nation. Take any field, be it politics, sports, bollywood, public sector, whatever - where nepotism isn't there?

If I remember correctly Mulayam Singh Yadav has at least two wives and several children. Also he has several brothers and cousins who along with their children are also involved in the Samajwadi Party.
So long as they maintain their appeal among the UP public this family will remain involved in politics for a very long time.
