British Soldiers 'Invade' Washington DC To Save U.S From Donald Trump
233 years after the Treaty of Paris marked the end of colonial rule in America, you'd be forgiven for thinking the days of British troops being sighted on the streets near Capitol Hill were over.
Think again.
Roll on 2015, and a group of soldiers have taken it upon themselves to liberate the US from one troublesome business magnate.
"We saw Donald Trump was about to become President so we thought it was a good time to invade and help you out."
Benny Johnson, a Washington-based reporter for American news website the Independent Journal Review who stumbled upon the soldiers wrote:
The quip came after Benny Johnson bumped into a group of British soldiers (around 750 of whom are based in the US).
