Every time there's a major development on Russia, Trump does something crazy - last week's press conference forced late night hosts to reorient from serious policy issues to a blatantly nuts presser.

Seth Meyers was perhaps the most blunt about how the president altered his plans for the evening: “Our show tapes at 6:30, and usually we start writing ‘A Closer Look’ the night before,” Meyers explained. “By 1 P.M. today, we had a draft about Republican attempts to repeal Obamacare that we felt good about—and then Donald Trump held what can only be described as a bat shit crazy press conference that rendered this script completely meaningless.
