so many trans women die of hate crimes

For as often as this is repeated, I've not yet heard of a clear example of a trans woman being killed "for being trans", as opposed to being a prostitute, selling drugs, living with people involved in criminal activity, or being black in areas of high crime. None of that is reason not to sympathize with a loss of human life, and I'm not suggesting that all or most of these people brought it on themselves... (Some, maybe)

But they are not hate crimes. And many people die due to these factors, yet people only care about the trans deaths, except without caring enough to deal with any of the factors that led to these deaths.

And then, of course, the implication that letting them pee wherever they want will somehow stop all of it.

Here is one pretty clear cut example of a trans woman murdered because for being trans.

whom he believed to be a woman and later discovered was a gay man.

Not really. I'd be wondering if there was a history of violence or mental illness with the suspect, given that he killed BOTH teens, including the non-trans one. The actual motive appeared to be anger over sexual assault/sexual deception, which is a little more complicated than the way I'd interpret 'hate crime'. Very sad, though, especially for the 17 year old teen that didn't clearly do anything. Deceiving someone sexually isn't a justification for murder, but I don't agree it's a hate crime.

No I'm going to address one thing.

the term 'women' is, in of its self and adherence to gender ideology.

A woman means an adult human female. It is not an adherence to gender ideology, it is an adherence to a biological reality and the experiences that people with female biology starting from birth have. You, as a male, do not have a right to lay claim to womanhood or girlhood, because you are not female.

    Shoo, troll.

Hello! Title 9 was written because AFABs have historically faced a lot of discrimination and other issues. We historically are assigned lower status than AMABs. Physical differences mean we are, in general, unable to compete athletically with AMABs, yet havin access to sports is also important to us. Historically we were not important enough to be given access.

Due to sexual violence and rape culture, most notably the onus on AFABs to take the responsibility for not being caught in a compromising position with AMAbs, most AFABs do not want to be nude with AMABs. We know the majority of AMABs are not crazy violent people but they are more likely to be, they are bigger and stronger, etc.

There are also other ways AFABs have been held back and denied accesses to various resources. This is a specific type of discrimination. We have been accused of having wandering wombs and deficient brains, and even recently that chiropractor who made labia glue has said we are insanr a quarter of the time.

I believe trans people also face discrimination, but that title 9 deals with discrimination specific to AFABs, and that by diluting it we lose our protections.

Is an AFAB anything like a pre-fab?

I really understand your what your saying. Especially about being accused of having deficient brains. I'm from the UK, we use different definitions of mental illness to the OEM. Trans people were written off as insane up until 2010.

Before I even realized I was trans I used to run a cardio only routine at the gym that gave me a somewhat female appearance. That and the fact I could never stand body hair marked me you in the changing rooms. I could stand men laughing at me and even the occasional glances but one time I turned around found guy staring at me. He didn't even care that I knew he was just staring at me like I was going to thank him for noticing me. The last time I went in the mens someone took my picture.

Now when I'm just dressed normally men talk to my chest.

I know women need protection from men sometimes but were aren't men.

I've never been in the womens changing room. I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable but if I was a school kid and I had to go in one or the other I would not feel safe in a male changing room.

Then it's your job to organize to make the male changing rooms safe. This is not a women's problem, and we are not your mommies.

So your solution to having an unsafe experience in the men's changing room, is to let the men into the women's change room?

Simply on their say-so that they identify as a woman?
