About this project
After losing my brother in a tragic motorcycle accident in 2007, I became passionate about improving motorcycle safety. In 2012, I was issued a utility patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office to begin production on an innovative safety jacket that has the potential to save the lives of motorcyclists around the world! My groundbreaking technology was featured on Bloomberg.com among other prominent publications, and is set to revolutionize the motorcycle safety industry for both recreational and competitive cyclists. My design pulls riders in the opposite direction of forward progress, which prevents riders from being thrown forward into other objects or being pulled underneath their bike. This gives them a bailout option they currently do not have. It is my belief that if my brother, and the motorcycle community as a whole, had better options for their safety they would certainly choose to wear my safety jacket while riding. The funds raised from this campaign will help me be able to refine the design for the improved safety jacket, as well as allow them to do more crash safety testing.
