About this project
Death is an unfortunate truth we all have to deal with and losing a loved on is one of the hardest things a person can go through. Almost 7 years ago, I lost someone close to me in a car accident. After Alana had died, I just wanted to see pictures of her but didn't have any of my own to look at and she wasn't big on social media. That's when the idea for this came to my mind. This is a simplified version of my overall goal but it's a start.
The app was just re-launched into both the Google Play store and Itunes for free. It currently has 31 members and 8 memory posts. I would love to see this number grow exponentially.
The $3500 will be allocated as follows:
-$710 will go toward paying the monthly fee for the app for a year
-$99 will pay for a year long Itunes Connect membership to stay in the Itunes app store
-$25 will pay for a year long subscription to Google Play
-$500 will go into advertising
-The remainder will go toward making the app compatible with Ipads and allowing people to offer their condolences rather than using a "like".
Other features I would like to add if possible:
-Allowing users to create memory pages for loved ones that have passed away
-An advanced search option
-Integration with a music streaming service to dedicate a song
-Partner with a florist to make it easy to order flowers to have sent to a grave
-Allow for video uploads
Any extra money raised will go into further development and marketing of the app.

Risks and challenges
The biggest risk is the app host going out of business. If that were to happen, I would need to transfer the data to a new service and submit it to the stores again. There would be some downtime but we would be able to continue the app. I feel confident that the app service will only get better though as they are soon coming out with a revamped platform.
