Sound doesn't travel. Old Trafford is huge. It's pretty lively in pockets. Could be a lot better but don't judge it off tv.

That is such a cop out of an answer. There are lots of big stadiums that pump noise through out. Celtic Park is pretty big a open planned, listen to it on the TV.

Fergie has commented on atmosphere before at home, Keane has also. It's just a downside to our success. We attract a lot of fans and a lot of tourists. This can take away from the atmosphere big time.

You are correct though in saying we have pockets of noise which we do. I just wish someday to have the stadium consistently noisy, imagine 80,000 fans full voice.

However I have been to some cracking atmospheric games but they have all been big occasions.

You can't judge atmosphere off TV. MIcs are placed in different areas in different stadiums. Old Trafford always has pockets of fans singing non stop throughout the game. If you want to experience the atmosphere go to a game and then judge it.

Also you are forgetting to point out how exciting that match was. Breathtaking to watch not surprising the fans were loud.
