Following right-wing “provocateur” and white supremacist Milo Yiannopoulos’ controversial appearance on Real Time, the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) booked the Breitbart editor as keynote speaker. This news caused some raised eyebrows, which have now arched in disgust after an audio tape surfaced of Yiannopoulos endorsing pedophilia.
Yiannopoulos, who was recently credentialed for a White House presidential briefing, once penned a Breitbart column to blame the left for defending pedophilia. Now, this newly released audio reveals him endorsing the practice (and praising priests who molest underage boys). In the clip, he describes a disturbing scenario, which prompts an unnamed person to remark, “It sounds like Catholic priest molestation to me.”
He receives this response from Yiannopoulos: “But you know what? I’m grateful for Father Michael. I wouldn’t give nearly such good head if it wasn’t for him.” Here’s more of what he said about pedophilia:
“We get hung up on this sort of child abuse stuff to the point where we are heavily policing consensual adults … In the homosexual world, particularly, some of those relationships between younger boys and older men — the sort of ‘coming of age’ relationship — those relationships in which those older men help those young boys discover who they are and give them security and safety and provide them with love and a reliable, sort of rock, where they can’t speak to their parents.”
The full version of Yiannopoulos’ comments can be heard in this audio clip, which — clearly — is disturbing material:
Yiannopoulos does not endorse pedophilia in this audio. Neither does he praise molestation. You are disgusting liars.
He literally says he’s grateful for being molested. You’re fucking sick for defending him.
Yes, he said it. As a joke. You are seeing what you want to see, in order to demonize him further. It is not really fair. He may be a lot of things, but he is not a pedophilia apologist.
He’s basically saying that sex with a 13 year old boy is ok if that young boy is sexually mature. Sans BJ joke, he was pretty clear and serious on that warped justification. He’s well-spoken and can use his eloquence to captivate his audience, but he still says some fucked up shit. I wouldn’t say he’s a pedo, but what he’s saying is coming from some weird debauched place in his head that he either experienced or fantasizes about.
I hate to defend this douche, but I get what he’s trying to say about cross generational relationships. He’s just saying it poorly and it’s coming off wrong. But he’s not endorsing child molestation. And his comment about the priest and being grateful is clearly a joke. The kind of joke, however, you make to friends in private, not on a radio show in public. And while he might not of meant it seriously, he can go fuck himself for getting mad at people about it. When you’re a professional troll like he is and you purposely irk people and say controversial things just to be controversial, you forfeit the benefit of the doubt. So if you’re going to say asinine offensive things, meaning it or not, taken out of context or not, the consequences are on you because you created the monster in the first place
I completely agree with you, he has to face consequences, but the narrative being shoved down our throats here is that he is defending pedophilia. That is just wrong and unfair.
He literally said that there are some 13 year olds that are mature enough to give consent and then argued over the definition of pedophilia.
There’s no way to spin this as anything other than saying that grown men should be able to have sex with 13 year olds. “Yeah, but she was really mature” doesn’t fly.
There are quite a few relationships in the gay community between very young men and older men, which I believe he’s referring to. He was most likely in one and is using his own experience to try and explain it. And looking through the lens of today, he looks back on those relationships, probably when he was 13 or so, fondly.
I’m not saying he’s right, he’s not, it’s wrong, end of story. But it’s not as simple as saying He’s saying it’s ok to go and fuck 13 year olds
Example: On Shameless, Ian was engaging in multiple sexual relationships with much older men when he was in high school. That doesn’t make those guys not creepy, or make or not wrong or not illegal, but Ian doesn’t look back on them as him being molested, just his exploration of his sexuality. Granted that’s a fictional show but it’s accurate to a lot of young gay men. And it sounds like Milo was one of them, and that’s the stuff he’s referring to. Again, it’s not ok, and like I said, when you’re bombastic and offensive, you put a target on yourself, but it’s not as simple as he’s supporting pedophilia
It really is. [m.youtube.com]
here come all the Milo fanboys to defend him praising pedophilia. you know, the same thing they’ve been accusing transgenders of doing in bathrooms for the last 3 freaking years?
It’s literally insane. To feel compelled to defend this shit says alot about the individual.
