TFM for St Etienne second leg? (self.reddevils)

With Herrera out for that game, who better to fill that role?

I don't believe anyone else is capable of match Herrera's tenacity. Put Fellaini there (which Mou probably will) he'll likely stick as a sweeper. Carrick too.

Sweini is a decent option but he'd be much less mobile. I really think we've got nothing to lose putting in TFM. Just tell him to press hard and his pace should take care of the rest.

    The game after St Etienne we play City away. So I'm sure Mou is gonna rest key players like Ibra, Pogba, DDG, etc. Would be nice to see the younger members of the squad game time as well as Shweni and Shaw.

    Hopefully most people get a rest, hopefully DDG won't travel and players like Timbo, Schweini, Axel and Youngy get a game. Also hope Shaw plays.

    I believe we will see a type of "B" squad for this game. Wouldn't be surprised if Schweinsteiger plays for Ander. Also, TFM and Tuanzebe should get the start. I'd be disappointed if they didn't give game time to our bench, and rested most of our starting 11 for the League Cup final a few days later at Wembley.

    Mou has already come out and said he'll field a strong squad. It would appear he's trying to foster the team, and himself, to take the competition more seriously.

    Like you said though. It would be disappointing not to see our bench. There really won't be a better opportunity this season.

    Doesn't make sense to me, but that's why I'm not the manager. St. Etienne showed no prowess in front of goal against us. I know they are pretty much dead in the water with how solid our defensive record has been.

    Why not rest Ibra and Pogba? Start Rashford up top, Young and Lingard on the wings, Schweinsteiger in the middle with Fellaini and TFM. Darmian and Shaw as wingbacks, and Rojo/Tuanzebe in the middle. Romero in goal. If shit hits the fan, bring on the big boys.

    He has to play some time or we should have loaned him out the kid isn't even allowed to play reserve games.
