TFM for St Etienne second leg? (self.reddevils)

With Herrera out for that game, who better to fill that role?

I don't believe anyone else is capable of match Herrera's tenacity. Put Fellaini there (which Mou probably will) he'll likely stick as a sweeper. Carrick too.

Sweini is a decent option but he'd be much less mobile. I really think we've got nothing to lose putting in TFM. Just tell him to press hard and his pace should take care of the rest.

I believe we will see a type of "B" squad for this game. Wouldn't be surprised if Schweinsteiger plays for Ander. Also, TFM and Tuanzebe should get the start. I'd be disappointed if they didn't give game time to our bench, and rested most of our starting 11 for the League Cup final a few days later at Wembley.

Mou has already come out and said he'll field a strong squad. It would appear he's trying to foster the team, and himself, to take the competition more seriously.

Like you said though. It would be disappointing not to see our bench. There really won't be a better opportunity this season.

Probably more likely to see him subbed on if we score early and put it to bed than start.

Hopefully most people get a rest, hopefully DDG won't travel and players like Timbo, Schweini, Axel and Youngy get a game. Also hope Shaw plays.
