@Idudas actually you do have to vat. The 300 CHF rule is only valid when you have the the goods with you like coming back from vacation. Anything that gets ordered only you have to pay vat on, but not customs (Zollabgaben). Unfortunately that will include the handling fee of the post or UPS or who ever, which makes the fees ridiculously high as the average handling fee is 20CHF and the vat in this case 28.15. I got the same letter from UPS that I have to pay 28.15CHF
I have just sent below direct message to Alistair Moorby from Melbourne Australia......
Hi, I have posted a very reasonable request but you haven't replied. Please advise if you will be sending the corrected pages. I reside in Australia, my wife and best friend are both lawyers, please PLEASE do the right thing and don't force me to lodge proceedings. I am willing to consider accepting the other breaches with respect the non-protected paper and non-foil logo, but never the misprinting. I hereby formally request a remedy or refund within 72 hours or proceedings will commence. Mr Van Der Ark

Well, I got my money back from my bank. If anyone else wants or needs to dispute this, be sure to mention that you can have a chargeback on any Visa card within 120 days on the expected delivery date.
Incidentally, I only JUST found out that my copy WAS sent out mid-January.... to the wrong address. Never received an email with it until I spoke to a DHL representative.
I don't even care anymore, as I've gotten my money back.
Mr. Moorby, a piece of advice for you? Pursue a different career, because you are a fucking hack. An innumerable amount of us have tried communicating with you to no avail. You said that you made sure that my address was correct, which was a lie. You deliberately withheld quality information from your backers until it was far too late. Everything about this project has turned out to be either a lie or a scam.
You should consider yourself extraordinarily lucky that no one has yet to pursue legal action against you.
@Roman - nice one! Hope it arrives in good condition. The various issues are very valid, and I don't think it was worth the total cost paid. However, if I try hard to ignore that, it is still a pretty cool "book".
@guys from CH - UPS just confirmed to cease the CHF 28.15. I wrote the the following:

@cuys from CH - Just talked to UPS. They say that the Sender declared it as a "BatteryPack" therefore they applied Tax. Now they want me to send them an invoice to proof. WTF
@guys from CH - as far as I know no border tax is applied on imports lower than CHF 300, and definitely not for books. It must be an error by the customs.
I'm located in Switzerland (Geneva) and I get my delivery!
Package was in shape and as expected. I already spend an hour to read it :-)
Thanks Reproduction IO!
@Idudas - I have just received a note from UPS (because I wasn't at home) with a Statement that they will try again the next day and that the "Nachnahmebetrag" is CHF 28.15.
Mr.Moorby gth, UPS gth, KS gth ! - Paid 25 bucks for the delivery, now i got a bill from UPS of 28.15CHF to get this re-ISSUE. As i have seen some swiss guys had to pay too, some did not, wtf ¿?!¿?!¿?!
So now i have the ISSUE in my hands and as expected and reported by many others the re-issue is just an ISSUE. - i'm done with crowdfunding, it happened now with every 2nd project that i had to pay additional charges. Well, thats not the problem of the creator or KS, it's a problem with the government of a country where you get charged for everything (at least breathing air is still for free ... ).
It's ridicolous to pay 60$ fees for a 30$ product, that doesn't make sense. GAME OVER for me, sorry to all serious creators.
I haven't received a followup to my email on Jan 30 stating I not only received the incorrect binder to what I ordered (Apollo 11 patch), but I got a second copy (Apollo logo & Saturn V). If I can get the copy I originally ordered (I have been in contact with a backer that got the wrong one and is willing to swap with me), I am happy to send the extra one to someone just so they get what they ordered.

In case anyone is interested, Buzz Aldrin has a signing event coming up soon. It's pretty pricey, but he's the only living Apollo XI moon walker left. I would suggest having him sign the first orange divider with the NASA meatball logo.
I've been fairly calm with this whole mess, I got what I ordered albeit the pages issue hasn't been resolved.
I'd have hoped for an update by now with here is a PDF in the correct order so we can at least print the correct pages in the correct order ourselves.
I'm beginning to think that there may be more problems in this company than just the distribution cockup.
Not sure now what I really want to happen. Ideally a reprint by them shipped out even if I keep the same binder (I got the correct one) albeit with dulled colours.
My experiences with Kickstarter till now have been excellent with some really good projects producing exactly what was promised. This is a bit of a shame on what should have been an excellent product.
So, my copy finally arrived in Zurich, Switzerland. According to the package label, it was only dispatched on 14 Feb. Didn't get any shipping notification.
The usual issues - non-foil printed logo, pages in wrong order, non-reinforced thin paper. However, given the laughable shit show this campaign has become, I am grateful that I got the product at all, with the correctly ordered logo, and it arrived in seemingly good physical condition.
Well, another (unfortunate) lesson learned regarding Kickstarter. I'm finding in my limited number of projects funded that about 1/3 have fallen short of the promise(s) and leaving people with missing products and no recourse. This site started with the best intentions, but more of us will look elsewhere unless Kickstarter steps in now and accepts more responsibility for the products they promote.
So, to sum up :
- Delays
- Blinder art downgrade
- Final version paper downgrade to office paper
- Incorrect and unfixable page order
- Blinder damaged on delivery
- Errors in deliveries
- All backers not delivered
- No communication from the creator nor answers to mails
I received the same response - "sorry we fucked it up, but it's good enough, deal with it."
Hey creator - Fuck you and your marginal recreation. I wouldn't attempt to boondoggle anyone again, because we'll find you and out the fuck out of you.
Ok, I just got an email that basically said they're sorry they sent me the wrong thing (which also was damaged), but basically just to deal with it.
What in the actual fuck?
Unfortunately this type of BS bait and switch campaign is a common theme with crowdfunding. It is literally a licence to print money. In this case only Kickstarter and Reproduction IO receive a "reward". We as backers jave been treated like a dollop of dogshit on Moorby's boot! Kickstarter also shove their head up their ass and treat us with contempt.
As I am Australian based I will do my best to track Alistair Moorby down for remedy within Federal Taxation and Australian Consumer Law. I will also contact media to ramp up the pressure.
Melbourne based victims of this fraud/scam can assist by sending any information that they may have on Moorby to unknownsoldier@gmx.us
Here's my plan. With this bullshit 'reward' that fails so miserably in what we were promised. I'm going to ebay my one and only copy. Mission Patch. I'm going to use the funds gained, and print my own copy in my own binder. That will be way more durable, way more accurate, actually correct.
Oh and FUCK YOU Mr. Moorby. I'm done with being respectful and considerate. You haven't been to your backers. Why the FUCK should I be back to you. Or kickstarter. You miserable crooks took your money and ran just as much as Mr Moorby has.
Or do we just have to band together. I volunteer myself with a kickstarter campaign of course to fly to Australia, locate, and recoup our losses from Mr Moorby. Hypothetically speaking, if physical harm were to come to Mr Moorby in the process I won't be sorry.
Finally received my Flight Plan and it's damaged - a nice big gouge right into the spine above the title; lame. It looks like I'm not the only one with issues though and it's sounding like there's no hope for a replacement.
@Glenn Sanders how did you end up with a mission patch binder & cover in color? Did other people receive binders with color as promised? I thought everyone ended up with only black art work.
Fuck yeah! Win-win for KS and Mr. Moorby. Today we the investors are the idiots. Welcome to the future. Perhabs I should also start a campaign and steal some money with the help of crowdfunding platforms... whoooohooo. Sorry for the honest guys out there. But to make this experience as a first-time-funder is hard.
This went from a very promising and exciting project to a complete screw-job. I even gave the creator the benefit of the doubt; explaining that he'd make this good. Personally I am disappointed that the creator has stepped away and left the mess he created. Wrong binder, wrong cover, low spec paper, pages out of order, and the final blow to us ~ the letter stating "too bad, yeah we screwed up. No, we aren't making this good. Have a nice day" from SEKO Omni-Channel Logistics. I really feel for the folks who didn't even get theirs (or didn't get the full order).
Actually it smells more and more like p.. here ... Some backers got more flight plans than they pledged for, some did and will never get the flight plan because ... guess why ....
.... or maybe RIO never manufactured the needed amount of binders and the wrong data was wrong on purpose ... guessing, just guessing ...
Like many others I also got the email saying I wouldn't receive a replacement binder. I am more bothered by the fact that the prior communication acknowledged that people received the wrong stuff and that they were going to make it good.
Now they are saying too bad, your stuck with it. They clearly need to work on their communication.
Well, I just got the same email as others with the wrong binder. I understand that things can go wrong, but this response after the previous assurance that they'd work with the logistics company to make it good boils down to "you screwed up, you trusted us."
just got the F/O email and i am very disappointed.
First we got delays beyond Xmas (OK this is KS, it is a risk) and then i get a product that is inferior than promised (again this is KS, it is a risk). Bu to top it off I get a slightly different product than ordered and that is not the KS risk I was referring before but a screw up.
What does the Creators do: shrug their shoulders and count their money!
I also find it interesting that with all of these problems happening right now, the project creator has even bothered to login in at least 9 days. I guess I wouldn't to 'show my face' either.
So... Although I wasn't terribly upset that I didn't receive the product I ordered (wrong cover) I was encouraged that the Reproduction IO team admitted there was a screw up and that they would rectify the situation. I was ensured that the vendor "agreed to resend as required to ensure all backers receive the correct copies." Apparently what that really means is "Due to limited print, unfortunately we do not have the stock to replace your item. Please accept our sincerest apologies for this error and any inconvenience this has caused you."
To me promising to fix the mistake, and then failing to do so, is more egregious than simply admitting to the mistake and letting it go. Shame on you Production IO for failing to hold your vendor to their word. Admit it, you screwed the pooch on this one.
What Was PROMISED:
So the short version is;
•We know who has received incorrect items and exactly what was sent.
•Kerry Logistics has accepted this as their fault.
•Kerry Logistics has agreed to resend as required to ensure all backers receive the correct copies.
As a result of this major error there may be a requirement to produce some additional copies. I’ll let you all know if this eventuates.

So the short version is;
•We know who has received incorrect items and exactly what was sent.
•Kerry Logistics has accepted this as their fault.
•Kerry Logistics has agreed to resend as required to ensure all backers receive the correct copies.
As a result of this major error there may be a requirement to produce some additional copies. I’ll let you all know if this eventuates.
What Was DELIVERED:
Dear Reproduction IO Customer,
The below email is in regards to an order that you placed for Apollo 11 Flight Plan Reference Book (https://reproductionio.com/).
Unfortunately there was an error during the packing of orders, and it seems we have dispatched to you an incorrect product, which differs slightly to the product you ordered. However note the only difference to your received item is the book cover. All contents inside are exactly the same.
Due to limited print, unfortunately we do not have the stock to replace your item. Please accept our sincerest apologies for this error and any inconvenience this has caused you.
