They heard the drumbeat behind the press conference yesterday and they got their marching orders from it, and today's tweets.

This does three things: First, it puts another protective coat of insulation on their own alternate reality.

The news coming out of
#TheRegime is going to continue to be bad: embarrassing at best, terrifying at worst. So his army got a booster shot. -
Second, it motivates them to be spreading "alternative facts" in response to any news story, just reflexively.
