Donald Trump vows to expose “leakers” for damaging his administration
02/16/2017
Presidents before Donald Trump have all run into the occasional issue with cyber-related crimes, but Trump has managed to build it into his daily schedule. Donald Trump began his day by heading over to Twitter and claiming that all “low-life” leakers will be persecuted and uncovered for leaking private information.
“Leaking, and even illegal classified leaking, has been a big problem in Washington for years. Failing @nytimes (and others) must apologise!” Trump said to begin his early morning tweet rampage.

Only a couple minutes later Donald Trump fires off another tweet related closely to the last saying that “The spotlight has finally been put on the low-life leakers! They will be caught!”

It can be assumed the recent interest Trump is showing in these leakers is a result of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s resignation due to sharing “incomplete information” regarding phone calls he had with a Russian ambassador.
Donald Trump has made himself known for bashing various news sites for “fake news”, and in this case, he’s blaming New York Times for reporting on the leaked information.
Only a day before Donald Trump was questioned about Michael Flynn’s resignation during a press conference and stated it was “unfair” and the “documents and papers” were “illegally, I stress that, illegally leaked.”
“Intelligence, papers are being leaked,” Trump continued. “Things are being leaked. It’s a criminal action, criminal act, and it’s been going on for a long time. Before me. But now it’s really going on.”
