Building and maintaining a gaming PC requires knowledge of not only "whats the most powerful" but also, "what would bottleneck me in this setup", "what graphics settings are best suited for my card", "What is V-Sync?" "Should I use V-Sync?" as well as keeping up with the market for hardware and countless other factors. Spending days or even weeks getting your new setup running at it's best is a major one for myself too. All of this means we, as PC gamers, have to use our brains to achieve what we want out of a PC. We don't just stick a disc in, install and play. Then, once we are actually playing our games, we notice even the slightest frame rate drop, stop playing and start working out what's causing the drop. XBOne and PS4 users can't do anything about that drop below the whopping 30FPS default so they just accept it and carry on. We are constantly problem finding and solving as PC gamers, getting used to using logic to resolve issues must have an effect on our brain functionality (although I'm not a neurologist so I can't confirm that).
